# Integrations

An integration connects OptiView Ads to an ad decisioning or "pod" serving vendor. Vendors are supported by providing [assets of type Vendor](https://docs-preview.optiview.dolby.com/pr-943/ads/concepts/breaks.md#vendor-assets) in a break variant: the vendor makes the ad decisions, and OptiView Ads delivers the result to players. [Google Ad Manager 360](https://docs-preview.optiview.dolby.com/pr-943/ads/integrations/google.md) is the first supported integration.

You do not need an integration to play [static assets](https://docs-preview.optiview.dolby.com/pr-943/ads/workflows/live/static-assets.md) from your CDN or [VAST](https://docs-preview.optiview.dolby.com/pr-943/ads/workflows/live/vast.md) tags from your own ad server: those breaks work on any channel.

The vendor model is extensible. When another vendor is supported, its documentation will be added as a separate page in this section and listed in the Integrations sidebar.

## Channel and event integrations

Integrations are configured on a [channel](https://docs-preview.optiview.dolby.com/pr-943/ads/concepts/channels.md), at most one per `type` and `vendor`. They are the channel's defaults and apply around the clock.

An [event](https://docs-preview.optiview.dolby.com/pr-943/ads/concepts/events.md) can replace them for its duration with integrations of its own, for example to run one game on a dedicated Google Ad Manager live stream. See [Integrations during an event](https://docs-preview.optiview.dolby.com/pr-943/ads/concepts/events.md#integrations-during-an-event).
